MyLab and Mastering are established teaching and learning platforms that combine trusted author content with digital tools including an eText, delivering personalised learning and improved results for each student. The Pearson eText app already lets students read and study offline. Now we are looking to build on this access in countries like South Africa where the costs of online access are high, and reliability and speed can be challenging.

We aim to give students more opportunities for regular, MyLab and Mastering practice with improved personal connectivity at no cost, regardless of hardware ownership. Zero Rated Access will mean that you can assign more content more frequently, and students can learn more effectively through those assignments.

By partnering with local network providers in South Africa, Pearson’s goal is to allow students zero rated access from their mobile device, desktop or laptop.

We are currently exploring the possibility of this solution, and invite you to register your interest in piloting with us, and keeping informed as the project develops.
