The Association for Mathematics Education of South Africa - AMESA - is the professional association of mathematics educators in South Africa. AMESA is the voice of Mathematics Education in South Africa, representing the interests of the discipline and its members at provincial and national level.

The Funza Lushaka Bursary
The Funza Lushaka Bursary Programme is a multi-year programme that promotes teaching in public schools. Full-cost bursaries are available to enable eligible students to complete a full teaching qualification in an area of national priority. Recipients of these bursaries will be required to teach at a public school for the same number of years that they receive the bursary.

SA School Network SA School Network provides a safe environment for searching educational resources within South Africa.  Their substitute platform assists schools with regards to staff absenteeism. It also assists newly graduate teachers or teachers who require more experience and skills to assist a school in need.

The Reading Association of South Africa aims to bring together individuals and organisations who are committed to the study and teaching of reading and writing. RASA is affiliated to the International Reading Association (IRA), and is committed to promoting IRA membership and participating in IRA sponsored activities in Africa and elsewhere.

Shikaya -
Shikaya is a non-profit civil society organisation that recognises the crucial role that teachers can play in deepening and strengthening South Africa’s democracy. Shikaya supports the personal and professional development of teachers to create a South Africa in which young people in schools are inspired and supported to become responsible citizens and future in our democracy, valuing diversity, human rights and peace

SchoolNet SA -
SchoolNet SA is at the forefront of ICT implementation strategies in South African schools. It has developed a successful implementation strategy as a result of its experience and analysis of a wide range of past ICT implementation projects.

South African Principals Association -
The South African Principals' Association welcomes Principals' into a professional group where current issues facing teachers
are discussed. It also provides principals with invaluable support material, collegial interaction and workshop opportunities.

South African Council of Education -
SACE is the South African Council for Educators. Our Mission is to enhance the status of the teaching profession, and to promote the development of educators and their professional conduct.

SA History Online - Classroom Resources -
SAHO's mission is to break the silence of our past and to create the most comprehensive online encyclopedia of South African history and culture.

Teching English Today -
The English Academy of Southern Africa was founded in 1961. It is an association dedicated to promoting the effective use of English as a dynamic language in Southern Africa. Membership is open to all persons and organizations identifying with the Academy’s mission and sharing its vision.
